Moby Wrap
Moby Wrap was founded in 2003 by two mothers with a passion for babywearing. After extensive research, including the sampling of countless slings and wraps, their solution was a variation of a time-tested European carrier. Wherever they went, they would be approached by people wanting one, and it wasn't long before the constant demand put the two mothers in the supply business.
The Moby Wrap is a long piece of ultra soft, breathable cotton that is wrapped around the wearer to create a safe, ergonomic, custom-fitted and versatile baby carrier. It is one-size, so the baby carrier can easily be shared by all caregivers in the family. The product line includes a gorgeous array of colors, and fabrics, including UV protected and organic cotton. From 2004 until 2006, the President of Moby Wrap and her family lived in Thailand and set up a Thai corporation that manufactures the Moby Wrap, the Moby D and the hand knit clothing.
They rented a cute Thai home and converted it into a factory. All employees are adult women who enjoy excellent wages and benefits. The women who knit for the Moby Wear line pick up the patterns and yarn once a week and knit in their villages while surrounded by their children and extended family. Best of all, they love to get visits from customers all over the world who appreciate their work. The company is headquartered in Chico, California. Made in Thailand.
